The 11-time Grammy Winner, Taylor Swift earned her doctorate degree at NYU on May 18, 2022 and she blended in while celebrating with another students. The moment seemed straight out of Swifties' wildest dreams, with fellow grads seen cheering as she entered Yankee Stadium. Now, Here’s everything to know about Taylor Swift doctoral degree!!

Taylor got the honorary doctoral degree
The superstar received an honorary doctorate of fine arts from New York University to her already impressive resume after last weekend. An honorary degree is a degree that’s given to someone who didn’t go to that school or didn’t complete a similar level of education required to receive the degree. (So, no, Taylor never went to or studied at NYU.) It's a way for an institution to honor the accomplishments and contributions an individual has made in a particular field. Like Taylor and the arts. Basically, she didn’t attend the class but her achievement and impact on music industry made her has a doctorate degree. NYU state the reasons why she deserves to be called as a Doctor:
“An 11-time Grammy winner, Ms. Swift is one of the most prolific and celebrated artists of her generation. She is the only female artist in history to win the music industry’s highest honor, the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, three times. Her many awards and distinctions include being the most awarded artist ever in American Music Awards’ history along with being named Artist of the Decade; winner of the BRIT Awards International Female Solo Artist of the Year in 2015 and the Global Icon Award in 2021; and Billboard’s first-ever and only two-time winner of the Woman of the Decade Award."

She had dreamed of going to college as a teen
She knew it wasn't in the card for her to go on a public schools as she finished her schooling via home school while on tour, traveling by bus and plane. She always thought she would go away to college, imagining the posters She’d hang on the wall of my freshmen dorm. She also said that She even set the ending of my music video for her hit song “Love Story” as the fantasy imaginary college, where She meet a male model reading a book on the grass, and with one single glance, and had been in love in our past lives. Although she didn’t actually attend the class, the experience become a student in the graduation day made her taste the euphoria of going to college.

To the sound of roaring applause Taylor ended her epic speech with the send-off every Swiftie was waiting for: "I hope you know how proud I am to share this day with you. We’re doing this together. So, let’s just keep dancing like we’re…the class of '22."
Taylor is certainly no stranger to receiving accolades—think back to her 11 Grammy Awards, 23 Billboard Music Awards, and impressive winning streaks thanks to albums like Fearless, Red, and 1989 and her others amazing HIT.
